Is the comma use correct

Ferguson believes that after getting those two results, the team has had an upturn in confidence.

Even thought the sentence doesn't begin with 'after'

Do you think the comma is still required?

Many Thanks

Yes, it's correct to use a comma there because the subordinate clause (underlined) is supplementary to, not integrated into, the matrix clause (in bold). In speech, it would be set off with a slight pause.

You could also insert a comma between "that" and "often" if you liked.

Sorry, I made a typo in my last reply:

It should read "You could also insert a comma between "that" and "after" if you liked".
