I am irregular but my friend is regular what is the tag question of it?
Hi Toki, I would say/write it as two separate sentences: I am irregular, aren't I? But my friend is regular, isn't he/she? But you could separate them with a semi-colon: I am irregular, aren't I?; but my friend is regular, isn't he/she? PaulM
my teacher told that when there is a but in sentence the sub before the but would be the sub of tag.is it r8??
Please don't use abbreviations like "r8". It is not good grammar. PaulM
sorry!ans plz
please!
Yes: that's correct, but remember that the subject of the tag may take the form of a pronoun referring back to the subject of the main clause: Your friends made a good job of it, didn't they? In that example, "your friends" (sub of main clause) and "they" (sub of tag) are the same people. Paul
