I just wanted to clarify a word choice. Can you say "making a selfish fuss," as usually you would write a big or huge fuss. This is just for story writing.
I checked my corpus and it returned zero occurrences of "making a selfish fuss" in books over the last 100 years, so it's certainly not a popular choice!
Google however had a few hits for it.
But it's not ungrammatical, so if you feel it helps you to express a certain meaning, then go ahead and use it.
