(1) "I enjoyed reading books".
(2) "I have enjoyed reading books".
(3) "I enjoy reading books".
In (1) the past tense implies that you no longer read books, as simple as that.
In (2) the present perfect tense implies that you have had enjoyment from reading books in the past and that feeling of enjoyment continues until the present. But the perfect is a past tense, it does not mean that you still read books; maybe you do, maybe you don't.
In (3) the present tense describes a state of affairs where you regularly or habitually read books and enjoy doing so; you've enjoyed reading them in the past; you enjoy reading them now, and there is nothing to indicate that you won't continue to enjoy reading books in the future.
You must decide whether (2) or (3) conveys your intended meaning.
