Re: led or lead

Past Tense and Past Participle are both 'led';

He led the expedition.

Paul had led the previous expedition.

Re: led or lead

Hi,

Many thanks for your time and response. I understand what you say about past tense. What if I were to write the team is led by a good manager ?
As I am suggesting that the managers proficiency is ongoing would this still be led rather lead ?

Kind Regards,

Barry

Re: led or lead

combine the sentence starting with neither ...nor

Otieno is foolish. John is foolish.

Re: led or lead

I believe that you would only use lead like this. I believe that he has led the team well and will cotinue to lead them well in the future.
I could be wrong.
