any other?

Hello,

I would like to know "any other".

Which is correct? Or both are acceptable?

Tom is taller than any other student.

Tom is taller than any other students.

any other+sigular or plural?

Thank you so much!!!

Re: any other?

Singular "student" is the default, but plural "students" is sometimes heard.

Re: any other?

"Tom is taller than any other student" is correct.

You could also say:

"Tom is taller than all the other students."

Thank you, Paul!
