Should "that" be "which"?
Should there be a comma after feeling?

"It was a transformative piece of work that/which unlocked what so many of us were feeling but only they knew how to communicate".

You can use either "that" or "which"; they are both correct, though in AmE the former is generally preferred.

A comma after "feeling" is optional. Personally, I'd include it.
