EXCLAIMATION MARK

"Do not go in there," she exclaimed.
is it correct?

Re: EXCLAIMATION MARK

Well, I personally think it would be: "Don't go in there!" she exclaimed. I think this because the character is exclaiming something and when you put an exclamation point, you're expressing something by using excitement. But, then again, this is just my opinion.

Re: EXCLAIMATION MARK

"Do not / Don't go in there," she warned.

Don't go in there!" she cried

'exclaim' is not the appropriate word: "cry out suddenly in surprise, strong emotion, or pain:".
