punctuation for interrupted speech

Hello,

What punctuation is best used if a character is speaking and another character interrupts them/

I felt that an ellipsis wasn't right as the character's voice wasn't trailing off, but Word doesn't like it if I try to put in a dash/hyphen.

So I have:

"If we all stick together we can-"

"We shouldn't stick together."

Is this correct? If not, can anyone tell me how I should approach the punctuation.

Thanks in advance.
