Is it right to write 'check for spelling, punctuation and inconsistencies'

Ah ha, I see the point. I suppose it should be:

"check spelling and punctuation and check for inconsistencies"

It's a bit long wided though. I think this is a case of accuracy over efficiency. Being a pedant, I'd go for the accurate version. But, that's just me...
