For me, the only contentious point is the word "car". "Types" is right.

I believe "car" and "cars" can both be correct.

- two types of car
e.g. the five-door version and the three-door version
- two types of cars
e.g. rally and on-road

I am happy to be corrected on this one, but I judge both examples above to be right.
