Ending a sentence with a preposition

This guide implies that there is a rule against ending a sentence with a preposition. Though such a rule exists in Latin, it does not exist in English.

The part in this site covering it is here:

Even though it starts "As a rule", I think context makes it very clear that this does not translate as "It is a rule that...".

Therefore, I don't think this site advocates it as a rule, as you claim. And, besides, who made you the expert?

Many people, myself included, frown on sentences that end in prepositions. I don't, however, wet myself every time I see one. In fact, as this site states, if rewording makes your sentence makes it sound contrived, then simply leave the preposition at the end.

Thanks for your input, Preposition Hound.

Please go easy on my 'makes it sound contrived' typo.
