This guide implies that there is a rule against ending a sentence with a preposition. Though such a rule exists in Latin, it does not exist in English.
Even though it starts "As a rule", I think context makes it very clear that this does not translate as "It is a rule that...".
Therefore, I don't think this site advocates it as a rule, as you claim. And, besides, who made you the expert?
Many people, myself included, frown on sentences that end in prepositions. I don't, however, wet myself every time I see one. In fact, as this site states, if rewording makes your sentence makes it sound contrived, then simply leave the preposition at the end.
