Passive Voice - who or whom??

Can someone tell me which of the following two sentences is correct?

1) Regarding last night's event, he wants to know the exact time and date and performed by who.

2) Regarding last night's event, he wants to know the exact time and date and performed by whom.

Thanks,
Peter

Re: Passive Voice - who or whom??

Mmm,

the "by whom" bit is correct. However, I think you may need to re-word your sentence.

With regard to last night's event, he wants to know...

[using regarding turns your opening clause into a 'dangling modifier']

Without knowing the context, it would be difficult to advise the second half of the sentence, but I think you may need to make the "performed by whom" bit a little clearer.

...he wants to know the exact time and date and performed by whom.

...he wants to know the performer and the exact time and date.

Thanks Craig.
