Help please Which is correct in or of?

Which would be correct. Participants of the NAVT Group or Participants in the NAVT group?

Thanks

Re: Help please Which is correct in or of?

Hi, I believe "of" is correct, unless it is the group itself in which the participant is participating. You participate in the chat forum. You are a participant from (or of) your school. The choice depends on the context. From among participants of Group A we will select for to be participants in Race C. We are dividing all contestants into 4 groups, placing equal numbers of participants in Groups A, B, C, and D. Would all participants from Group A step forward, please? Would all participants in the cake walk please get a glass of milk?
