Hey GM, I am writing a story with names of cities and towns in Tennessee and Mississippi. I know to write the name of the state after the 1st time I use the name of the town, but there are several towns mentioned through out the story. My question to you is, must I show the state for each one, or only to prevent confusion? Bien merci, William
Mmmm, I hope I am not breaking a US convention here, but I guess dropping the state would be acceptable. In fact, even though I'm a Brit, I would judge it to be wholly acceptable provided there was no ambiguity.
