my cloth doll

Hi everyone!
I am an artist and doll lover from the triangle area of North Carolina. I recently aquired a cloth art doll from my Grandfather's curiosity shop, and I would like to learn more about its maker. The doll is about 14 inches tall and sewn into a cross-legged seated position. He is an all-cloth male fairy dressed in a simple outfit and adorned with beading and stiff cloth wings. He is holding a staff made of a pipe cleaner and beads. He has a prominent nose, attatched ears, and wires in his arms and fingers to make him posable. His eyes and mouth are painted, with some stitching on his mouth and attatched eyelashes and brows. "2007" and the initials "E G" are written in pen on the back of his neck. My Grandfather thought he was made by someone named Edith Golden, but didn't know anything more about her or the doll. He was selling the doll for $100 dollars. I have searched everywhere for an Edith Golden on the internet, but haven't been able to find her. Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!
