5 Mac apples peeled and cored
1/4 cup lemon juice (I used the juice of 2 lemons)
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 1/2 cups of water
Put apples in a pot with the water and lemon juice. Bring to a boil then lower the heat to medium for 30 minutes.
Let the apples cool then mash any remaining lumps and stir in the brown sugar. Viola.
