This forum has a long history, by interent standards anyway-unfortunately it has been abandoned for far too long due to real life circumstances knocking the heck out of what had been my very real desire to keep this board alive and well forever so that all of us could meet here and communicate with each other everyday.

I'm not sure that a forum like this is even needed nowadays since the advent of facebook, etc...but I hope that this once thriving BB does bring some of us back together again and that maybe some new folks will join us as well!

Body of Missing Florida Marine Found

I don't know if people in other states have been following the story of Eric Hall an Iraqi Marine Veteran that has been missing since Feb. 3rd when he had a severe PTSD Flashback at his home in Punta Gorda, FL got on his Motor Cycle and then vanished.

His Bike was found about a mile from his home in the middle of the road and still running. On going searches have been conducted by Volunteers many from the local Vietnam Veterans Community. The terrain in the area is almost Jungle Like, thick with palms and Brush much like the Everglade Area. There have been many exhaustive searches and most official searches were called off thinking that he possibly left the area.

On march 8th a group of Vietnam Veterans searching the same area found Eric's body when one Veteran crawled into a culvert metal drain pipe and found his body about 50 feet from the entrance of the drain pipe.

Its a sad ending in our county. This young man had been wounded by a bomb blast underwent 17 surgeries to his hip along with TBI injuries and severe PTSD.

Today Eric's Mom held a press conference and talked about going to Washington to try and bring the thousands of new Veterans suffering from PTSD to the attention of the Current Administration.

Personally I wish Eric's Mom all the luck in the world and hope she has MUCH success in Washington.

I will also say this, Its hard to bring things of this nature to Washington and try and get their attention when they never seem to listen.

Re: Body of Missing Florida Marine Found

They never have and never will listen. The politicans are to interested in their own political agendas to care about anything else.

Re: Body of Missing Florida Marine Found

I had not heard about this young man. I am glad that he has been found and can be laid to rest respectfully.

Rest in peace
