WELCOME to THE IVY DIVISION Message Forum
THIS website is a private SUPPORT SITE for 4th ID veterans, active duty soldiers, family members, friends and everyone who supports our troops no matter how you feel about our leaders. Troublemakers, gossips. trolls, liars, etc are NOT welcome here. Posts that defame,, humiliate and/or intimidate other posters or the webmaster will be deleted without notice or comment. Please read the rules on the Main Page, thank you!
This forum has a long history, by interent standards anyway-unfortunately it has been abandoned for far too long due to real life circumstances knocking the heck out of what had been my very real desire to keep this board alive and well forever so that all of us could meet here and communicate with each other everyday.

I'm not sure that a forum like this is even needed nowadays since the advent of facebook, etc...but I hope that this once thriving BB does bring some of us back together again and that maybe some new folks will join us as well!

Gary Krek has died

I am saddened to announce that Gary Krek has passed away. I received the followingfrom Bob Babcock -

.
Gary Krek, the person responsible for many of our Vietnam and other members finding our Society, died on Saturday night, March 29, at a hospice in Phoenix, AZ.
Gary served with Recon, 2-22 in Vietnam. He contacted Awb Norris soon after Awb and I took over the leadership of the Society and volunteered to start our web site. As they say - the rest is history. Because of his great work, our Society has grown from a going out of business WWII organization to one that is healthy and thriving with veterans from all eras from WWII through today.

Re: Gary Krek has died

Gary Krek rest in peace, thank you for all have done for us Veterans.

Re: Gary Krek has died

May he rest in peace.

Hand salute,
John R...

Re: Gary Krek has died

It is sad that the person who has been so instrumental in uniting vets has died. But how wonderful that the fruit of his labors lives on and those of you that benefitted from his efforts are here to celebrate his life in passing.

Re: Gary Krek has died

Although I didn't serve with the 4th ID and never had the pleasure of meeting Gary Krek, I have heard many fine things about him and his efforts in helping Veterans of the 4th ID.

My condolences go out to his family and friends.

My Sharpest Tankers Hand Salute goes to this fine Infantryman.
