This forum has a long history, by interent standards anyway-unfortunately it has been abandoned for far too long due to real life circumstances knocking the heck out of what had been my very real desire to keep this board alive and well forever so that all of us could meet here and communicate with each other everyday.

I'm not sure that a forum like this is even needed nowadays since the advent of facebook, etc...but I hope that this once thriving BB does bring some of us back together again and that maybe some new folks will join us as well!

Oil and our Economy !!!

Subject: Oil and our Economy!!!

lets elect this guy instead of the current group of IDIOTS!!!!

Dare any of us take "Joe" seriously????

Re: Oil and our Economy !!!

Sure I'll take Joe seriously on some of his stuff.

But Joe forgot to mention that in 2006 area 181 the 1.7 Million acres in the East Gulf were opened for Oil Lease bidding. Oil Companies seemed to be foaming at the mouth to get in there and drill. Then all of a sudden they became silent.

In March 08 they started putting in bids and last month the bids were approved. Think Oil Prices had anything to do with their Lag? I mean why drill oil at 80 or 90 a Barrel when you can wait and get 130 or more.

Re: Oil and our Economy !!!

Jinx you probably dont know it but oil and natural gas is not under each and every square foot of land in this country and any country on this earth.
aproximately 50 % of every hole drilled is dry. It takes a lot of seiesmagraph work to even get an idea of where those deposits exist.. that is why the dumbocrats have put ANWAR the oil shale deposits in colorado the OCL west coast east coast. So as to cripple the united states and the american people. when americans no longer have access to fuel they will be starved out so Osama obama and the comunists and islamic facsits can destroy the americans once and for all.

Re: Oil and our Economy !!!

Sure Duane

But they have to make an attempt to explore and aquire lease agreements, for some strange reason its taken them over a year. They are just lolly-gagging and waiting for the price to go up. It only took around 90 days for the bidding process, as you can't blame that as the delay.

Another thing, they are just sitting on Hundreds of land leases, If those leases are dry then why do they keep renewing the leases when they run out. Oil Compaines are in the business to make money they don't make bad judgement calls when it comes to Multi-Million dollar leases.
