WELCOME to THE IVY DIVISION Message Forum
THIS website is a private SUPPORT SITE for 4th ID veterans, active duty soldiers, family members, friends and everyone who supports our troops no matter how you feel about our leaders. Troublemakers, gossips. trolls, liars, etc are NOT welcome here. Posts that defame,, humiliate and/or intimidate other posters or the webmaster will be deleted without notice or comment. Please read the rules on the Main Page, thank you!
This forum has a long history, by interent standards anyway-unfortunately it has been abandoned for far too long due to real life circumstances knocking the heck out of what had been my very real desire to keep this board alive and well forever so that all of us could meet here and communicate with each other everyday.

I'm not sure that a forum like this is even needed nowadays since the advent of facebook, etc...but I hope that this once thriving BB does bring some of us back together again and that maybe some new folks will join us as well!

By the numbers

It shouldn't surprise anyone that Russ-Redleg-Conservative is spending so much time over here (With people he presumably hates) recently. His own board must be taking on the characteristics of a wake. The usual choir preaching isn't getting it done, and they don't have any arguments to make an appeal to sane people. Here are some numbers per: Electoral-vote.com
Obama has a lead of 10%, or more, in states counting 260 Electoral Votes. This is 10 votes shy of a winning 270 votes. Among the states where he currently holds a lead of less than 10%, he only neeeds ONE OF THE Following: Florida (27) - North Carolina (15) - Virginia (13) - Ohio (20) - or Indiana (11). Winning Colorado (9) along with either Nevada (5) or New Hampshire (4), would also put him over the "magic number" of 270. Bear in mind that Obama currently holds a lead (between 1% and 9%) in all of these states.
.
McCain has a lead of 10%, or more, in states counting 124 Electoral votes. He has a lead of less than 10% in states counting 33 Electoral votes. In order to win, McCain must HOLD ALL OF THESE STATES. He must also carry Missouri, North Dakota, and Montana, which are currently toss-ups. If he wins all of these states, he will only have 174 Electoral Votes. This leaves him 96 votes shy of 270. In other words he must carry VIRTUALLY ALL of the states where Obama Currently leads by less then 10%, while Obama only needs to carry ONE of them.
.
Republicans are going to need one hell of a "Bradley effect" - or the biggest vote fraud ever - to pull this one out.
