Going to Caister after collecting the New tribe shirt on the Thursday night at the local(we had to warm up)
Wearing last Caister Shirts on the way up. 1 crate of red stripe to drink on the coach. Stopping off at the Chase in Thetford for the last supper. Getting to Caister changing into new shirt, shorts and Kung Fu slippers then not changing for the rest of the Weekend.
Large Rubbish Bin in the middle of the chalet filled with water(we had our own in door swimming pool).Opening a can of Stripe before crashing out(it saved time once you came round) oh what happened.

Re: BEST MEMORIES

Bev I remember Adrian and the cat food. Foookin funny. I will never forget the time we went to Caister on the train and me and my mate Jerry Sims got arrested at the train station in Norwich. Never got to Caister until after midnight after they let us out of the cells. Went back to Norwich a few weks later and was fined 300 quid for being drunk and disorderly

Re: BEST MEMORIES

Me and a dj who shall remain nameless(i shall provide all the clues you need!)several years ago at caister telling everyone that Roy ayers was coming up after agig in london to do a live PA on caister radio during a certain nameless djs regular graveyard slots from 4am. It was cowboy & indian night and needless to say i loaded the bullets & my anonymous partner in crime who was dressed as a female red indian squaw at the time went round firing them all day long, before long the story was coming back to me and even those who know us better than to beleive our wind ups had there doubts when we stuck on Roy Ayers Live Cd and got my pal stevie timo (the soul equivelent of alistair mcgowan) to do his best Roy impression and give us an interview and add the line we live in caister baby into we live in brooklyn baby!

Re: BEST MEMORIES

How could I forget that!Whoooooops....Dont tell Sir!
Also Andy, remember the Frostie & Andy UR unrehearsed Derek & Clive Skit live on radio that seemed to continously relate a four letter expletive to a five lettered person?

Re: BEST MEMORIES

My first ever soul night at The Bull in Royston. Life would never be the same again. The minibus broke down on the way and, getting bored while the driver went for help, I fixed the bus and drove off in search of the driver. We soon found him and I went on to have the first of many top nights, all-dayers and weekenders. My first gig at Harlow when a 'dance round me 'andbag' type asked if I had anything by Cher. (Actually, I have now - Take Me Home) Popping my Caister cherry in a threesome and missing most of Saturday night. Walking into the caravan, cracking open a beer & sitting down only to realise after several minutes that it's the wrong one. ******* dressed as an Indian squaw stripping off in the radio room. Dave Blow, Steve Reid & the late John Atkinson returning from an afternoon's drinking in Yarmouth. When asked why they had multicolour stains down their t-shirts, they said they'd been on a Hooch frenzy. Dicky's accessories, including a plastic heron, a tampax machine and best of all, cos you had time to flee, his hand cranked air raid siren. Flying to Kilmarnock for a soul night. Flying to Milan for a soul night. Dancing to sweet house tunes at SVO on the terrace, watching the sunrise. There's probably more fun & games that I've forgotten. Good thread.
