ref above, i am trying to use a programme for recording vinyl to cd called final vinyl using an imic from griffin technology. have u ever used this , and, can u give any help or direction as to how i use it ? is there any other device u can recommend for macs = g4 laptop. have a great new year folks, yours truly,RAREGROOVER, THE BEST THING TO COME OUT OF SOUTHAMPTON SINCE THE QE2 !!!!

paul sorry for delay you can record direct from your stereo via tape out or aux out stereo phono cable to 3.5 stereo mini jack plug [plugs into aux/mic input on laptop you will also need software to convert wave files to mp3 or aac etc.... roxio do this software but if you look on the webb there are a few freebees out there for the mac...hope this helps...

I also use the imic on a mac, after tring various software, I settled on Amadeus. It's very easy to use alows editing and saving to various formats.
you can find it here http://www.hairersoft.com/Amadeus.html you can try it out first, after that it costs $30.
