Southport Weekender, one of the World’s best loved indoor music festivals, is celebrating 20 glorious years with a staggering 39 events to date! Back to rock the North West of England this coming May, Southport Weekender celebrates it's 40TH BIRTHDAY!.. Selling out the first week of January, a massive 4 months in advance, thousands are being turned away due to such high demand for tickets. An achievement in itself and a testament to it’s onoing success and ever increasing popularity... 40 EVENTS!.. 20 YEARS!.. Sporting an outstanding line-up, Southport Weekender 40 looks set to be THE party of 2007 and what a weekend it's going to be!..

Attracting 5000+ smiley party folk from all over the globe every May & November, Southport is dubbed as the World’s friendliest party where punters and DJ’s alike congregate for some serious dancefloor action. Founded by hedonist, Alex Lowes alongside cohort Dave Gardner, since it’s beginnings in 1987 at a caravan park in Berwick–Upon-Tweed as a soul music weekender for a few hundred people, Southport, now 20 years old, stands as the most musically diverse dance music weekender in the UK party calendar. Regularly attracting an intimate friendly crowd of dedicated dancers and discerning music lovers, Southport features four amazing purpose built arenas featuring state of the art lavish production and quality sound, each covering all genres of the most exciting soulful music from around the globe including house, hip hop, soul, r&b, jazz, broken beat, techno, drum & bass, rare groove, soul, classics and more.
