Nicola Conte is back with a stunning new album on Schema Records.
'Rituals' opens with the beautiful 'Karma Flower' & 'The Nubian Queens' before giving us 'Like Leaves In The Wind' a record which could do for the jazz dancefloors what 'This Is what You Are' & 'Summer Song' have been achieving for the last few years!
Also included is an excellent cover of the jazz standard 'Caravan' Other standout tracks include 'Song For The Seasons', 'I See All Shades Of You' and 'Love In'.
Although vocalists Jose James, Kim Sanders, Chiara Civello & others provide a refined polish to 'Rituals' it's Pietro Lussu on piano, Fabrizio Bosso, Till Bronner on trumpets, Nicola Conte on guitar that really make this album so good. And on that note the final nod must go to Timo Lassy on flute & sax duty - fantastic!!!
Rituals has definitely been worth the wait!
