Thinking back over the past year brings back memories of past years. The memories that always come back to me are are of family....both blood line & extended, memories of the gatherings with my "family", the laughter, the worries, the good times & the bad.
I sometimes wonder if certain events occur for a reason. When I get to thinking about it, I seem to always ask myself...what if?...
What if I had never chosen a law enforcement proffesion......I would probably not have met the woman of my dreams. I wouldn't have the 3 sons I have.
What would have been different about them with someone else.
What if I hadn't had that motorcycle wreck in North Carolina back on Memorial Weekend in '05. That one I can answer and can honestly say that was the 5th best thing that could have happend to me....(first was finding my wife, 2nd, 3rd, 4th was my sons)Why can I answer that? Because it was while I was recouperating from that wreck and looking for another motorcycle that I found the AVA. Shortly after I joined the AVA I learned of the LSV when Barry sent me an email inviting me to check the LSV out & join. Since that time I have learned that I /we are truley blessed to be members & have the friends like you folks (our extended family)that make up the LSV. Thank you Barry!
We haven't met all of you yet, but hope to eventually.
With that said, Rene Ann & I send our deepest, wamest, heart felt prayers & best wishes to you all during the holiday season & pray that God will look over you & your families during your lives & travels throughout your lives.
Thank you Rick and Rene Ann.
We are glad that you both decided to join our little family, we have enjoyed you being part of it.
Happy Holidays.!! May you be blessed with good health, good luck and good cheer.
Brenda
Merry Christmas to all of the LSV family and friends.!
I'm blushing! But......those are my sentiments esactly on the LSV. Yeah, I've thought about all those things as well. I thank God for the life I've had, my family and would only want to change one thing (some of you know what that is).
That was a great post Rick.
Merry Chritmas to all LSV and everyone everywhere.
