Beavers Bend question

1st, mark me down as attending. I'll only be there Saturday night and I'll be tent camping.
Q1: Are we going to try to reserve one of the $75 shelters for the business meeting or what?
Q2: How do I get to the park map web page to do what Sandra (in the Mena camping thread dated 8/22) has suggested?:
"You can go to the Beaver Bend State park website, scroll down to More Information, look at More Detailed Campground Information, It lists all the camp sites, then look under View Beaver Bend State Park Map, and it will show you the campsites."
At this page http://beaversbend.com/Info.htm it says in one spot that there are 56 tent sites and in another paragraph, same page, that there are 150 tent sites but I can't find the "view the map" page that evidently lists camp grounds as per Sandra: "Tent campgrounds are Dogwood, Elm, Grapevine, Hickory, at $12 per night primitive".
Q3: Knowing that I'm only the 3rd one to commit to this ride (as per the posted VH agenda http://www.lonestarvoyagers.org/VoyageHome/VH2016/Agenda.html
are we going to shoot for a particular campground for the group?
Q4: Lottsa questions huh? In the likelihood that I'll be making a telephone call to Beavers Bend, are there any other questions that I need to prepare to ask of them?

Re: Beavers Bend question

Sorry I thought I had the information down, anyway, on the Beavers Bend State Park website, as you scroll down on the right hand side, under More Information, the very first thing is the map of the campsites. Also, after talking to Ben Bagley, the camping is $14 dollars a night, no reservations will be taken, first come, first serve. Rod, Jim and I will be coming, just don't know yet where we will be staying. Also what is the gimme table Richard is talking about, or is this a swap meet thing? I do have the shirts and caps to bring with me, so everyone who ordered a XL shirt, I will have them.

See all of you in October.
Sandra and Jim

Re: Beavers Bend tent /rv map

ok, this link is where you find the map with campsites:

And here's the map that shows the 4 tent campground sites & RV sites:

The Dogwood tent site (area D) seems to be most on the beaten path. Grapevine, area G & Elm, area E are awfully close to the railroad tracks, so without knowing more criteria, I'd say the 4th tent site, Hickory in area H, would be a good, quiet, first choice. But, RV site Fern (area F - see how this works?) is probably closest to Elm tents so maybe Elm Tents & Fern RV sites. No other RV site is anywhere close to any of the tent areas. Restrooms are closest to Hickory tents & 2nd closest to Elm tents - real handy for Fern RV.
