The Judge wrecked out

Got these emails from Richard Baxter about Jim Judge. Should be able to get status updates here now that the system is up.

October 1 email
Jim hit a deer near Junction last evening. Helioptered to Brook Army Hospital where as of 8 AM today, he is still in the ER. They're going to do surgery on his left arm/wrist. He looks kind of raggedy but not in too bad shape, considering. Last I heard (also 8 AM), Sandra was in Dallas waiting on a plane ride to San Antonio. She should get to town about noon.
Send him some prayers.

October 2 email
Update ~noon today. They put pins in his broken left wrist today. A little more surgery planned for Tuesday & he'll remain in ER thru that surgery. THEN he should be out of ER & in a room. His cell phone was recovered intact so when he gets to a room & eligible for calls, use his cell phone number (but not yet):

Re: The Judge wrecked out

Will keep Jim in our prayers. I definitely drive a little slower and give them critters more room. Thanks for keeping everyone posted.

Re: The Judge wrecked out

Prayers for Jim and Sandra

Re: The Judge wrecked out

BTW, no further updates yet except to note that Sandra met a guy at the Santone airport who'd been in the service w her son and he gave her a ride to the hospital - so those prayers are working

Re: The Judge wrecked out

I will definitely hold up Jim and Sandra in my prayers. I'm glad he is still alive!! Does anyone know the condition of their bike?

Ride Safe, and watch out for the Wildlife,
Hank

Re: The Judge wrecked out

The bike is probably totaled. Unfortunately, this is the time of year where the deer start getting more active. Coincidentally, I went through Junction earlier that day while taking the long route to Fredericksburg to meet Judy for Oktoberfest. I saw a couple of deer that afternoon.

The next couple of months are a period of high deer activity.

Re: The Judge wrecked out

Yeah he was on the Harley & it is totaled.

Re: The Judge wrecked out

I am praying for Jim and Sandra and Venita and me wish the Judges well.
BY HIS strips we were heeled
