Good Morning LSV

Top of the morning to everyone. The weather feels very pleasant out this early. Of course I know not for long! Watering the yard some to keep some green around the house, LOL?

Did anyone get to observe the eclipse yesterday? We had the solar shades available from Walmart. Worked very well. We could observe the moon covering about half the sun? But even then it was still bright in the sky!

I've been gathering up materials for the "new" bike. It needs what BMW refers to as an 'annual' service. (Fluid changes) I did all the basic services on my R1150RT and plan to do them on the R1200RT. There have been changes made from the R1150 model that is good.( I still have a new oil filter or 2 that fit the R1150 unfortunately doesn't fit the R1200) It's a little easier to do these services on the R1200RT. Thank you Dave Schani for you help on questions about these newer models.

If you go out in this heat stay hydrated and ride alert! Have a great day!

Re: Good Morning LSV

My first eclipse. Early in life age ten-ish) I got the impression from Tarzan movies that eclipses were a common occurrence which would sid my escape from hostile natives. How disappointing. Not that much quick sand in real life either.

LOL! Yeah I was looking forward to the "Black Out" effect? Cool! Not here though! And really, without the Walmart or some other store's Solar glasses sold for the occasion or some wielding goggles people really couldn't observe any of the eclipse around here. I did notice a slight eerie dull sunshine for a little but that was it. But looking thru the paper Walmart solar glasses it could be seen really good! Got another one coming in 2024!!!!

Re: Good Morning LSV

Was a bit dim here also. Couldn't find glasses, so I poked a hole in a paper and projected to another piece of paper right around the max coverage for here. Then I went for a bicycle ride to get some things done as it wasn't too hot. Warmer again today with bright sunlight.
Yall have a great day.

That's a good Idea! I forgot all about the hole in a sheet of paper technique? Yes this evening was a real boiler day! Hope you had a good bicycle ride! I haven't been on my bicycle in a few weeks!
