We were pleasantly surprised to be awakened at 3:45am to the sound of heavy rain and thunder. But alas it didn't last. We received 1" of rain here at our home in Marlin. Sun is back out today and skys clear! Our daughter was in Galveston for the weekend and says it was getting heavy rain this morning when they left!
