Need help fast!

Murphy Strikes! 4 days till we leave for Rapid City and my bike is spewing gas from the drain (?) tube. I think it's a drain. It is the rubber tube that each of the carbs are linked to and exits below the engine. I'm getting as spurt of gas every few seconds when idling. Slows to a drip when revved up. I used forceps to pinch the tubes at each carb and it appears to be the inboard on the left side (sitting on the bike). Could this be a stuck float? If so how big a job to get to it? Any suggestions welcomed, I don't want to have to use the "cage".

Re: Need help fast!

Followed some advice that I got from AVA member PAL.
IT WORKED .
Thanks Rocket Rod for the call, though.

On the Road AGAIN!

Re: Re: Need help fast!

So.. what'd jah do to fix it?

Re: Re: Re: Need help fast!

A temporary fix was to tap on the carb bowl to unstick the float....if I understood what PAL was saying.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Need help fast!

He drained that bowl and then let the fuel flow in to it to clear whatever was causing it to leak.

Tapping did no good at all. Loosened the drain screw, let it drain till it stopped and the re-started the bike..No more leak..
