For me it was LABOR day. I went into work - didn't get any real overtime but I did get paid for a holiday and for another eight hours. I figured that with the weather we're having, I might as well take the opportunity for some additional income.

I didn't go in, but still got paid for 8 hrs.
They wouldn't want to have to pay me for an additional 1 1/2 times pay for holiday doing what I'm having to do right now.
