The main plug coming off then battery to the switch had a corroded power plug. It was dark and somewhat black but not any or the brown and green color I'm used to. Most of you would have been able to spot it. Then with all the wiggling of wires I had unplude the connector to the starter....DUH!!!!
Can't take any of the credit. A friend of Jimbos, who I had met before, is a mechanic at Alamo CyclePlex, the shop that gives us soooo many give aways at HCT. he came over this morning at 8am, had it running by 10:45. Now I'm in a rush to get to work but thought I would tell y'all my good fortune and that I'm HAPPY!!
Maybe, maybe not. I think they checked the alternator before replacing it and it was bad. I'm finding it hard to trust them.
Besides my son, his friend and this new mechanic, all MMI graduates, the problem with the alternator not charging because of wires connected to the fuse box for extra lights, sounds bogus. The shop probably forgot to tighten a bolt or similar snafu.
Oh well.........Vinnie is now running and that's all I care about. However, an additional fuse block is in the near future.
