I have lost hundreds of dollars by accpeting cards as cab fares. Reyes made this ordinace without any good work on how drivers should get paid.

first of all the 5% card charge is very unfair.
secondly, the meter says cards approved but at company cashier, it gets declined 5 in 10 cards.
third, cabbie has to wait a week to get it cashed at company but worse than that is, you will be only credited only if you agree to a new week's lease.
which emans if you don't agree a new week lease, you get nothing and you are left with your card reciept.

this is a wide spread card abuse and something must be done.

just like Reye's stupid card ordinance, cab companies are also taking advantage of drivers by not cashing the cards promptly.
Just last week, i lost $60 when the card i accepted got declined at company cashier computer although i did check the card holder's ID and got approved at meter.

also, many cab passengers are abusing this system by using false cards.

this is a huge scam on hard working drivers.

Yes, I have lost lots of money on this card thing.
I don't have problems with cards cos I use cards and pay on time and my credit acore is very high.
but cards for cab fare is not working and this system is so messed up. drivers are scammed by Reyes, the passengers and cab companies on this card for can fare thing.

This cards for cab fare must end and I am sick og losing money everytime. i'd rather ask for a 5$ cash than accept a $10 card fare cos it's too risky to accept credit cards because you lose money almost all the time. in other words, accepting a card for can fare is like giving a free ride.

there seems to be few people like or cab drivers support organizations who say they fight for cab driver's right but they are doing nothing about this unfair credit card rule!

i lost $90.00 credit card fare one month ago from downtown hotel to Napervile.

The card got approved on meter but when I cashed it one week later, the company cumputer registration printed out DECLINED.

I am really upset about this and this credit card ordinance thing.

yeah, i hate when cab companies don't give cash for card transaction and secondly, i hate 5% credit charge and most of all, losing entire card fare money when people use false credit cards.

I now don't accept cards. i dont care if i get complained.
