MIAMI (AP) – A taxi driver who police say fatally struck a 6-year-old girl after she fell off a luggage cart and into a commercial lane of traffic at the Miami International Airport will not be charged.
Authorities say the girl was rushed to a hospital, where she died Friday night. According to Miami-Dade County police, the girl was riding on top of several pieces of luggage on the cart, which was being pushed by a relative.
Police say the girl, whose name has not been released, was traveling to Miami with her family. No additional information was immediately available.
