cab bussiess is horrible. no riderships and too many cabs and bad unprofessional drivers , specially those big red cabs.
road rages and just too many empty cabs.
i could hardly make $50 a day for myself by working 12 hours driving cab. now at target, i make $80 a day in just 8 hours, plus medical benefit.
i had been driving cab since 2000 till december of 2008. am glad i changed job.
I somewhat afree with Dave. I too used to drive cab from 2003 till feb 2008 and I had enough of very low earnings, no benefits and public mistreatments and unfair city ordinances and this same problem of challange of too many cabs.
I now work at radioshack in suburb and i love it.
i make $12, about $100 a day in just 8 hours with all the benefits. I was making about $50 a day for myself by working 10 12 hours driving cab and with no benefit. I used to get sick and i had to pay my own money, now with benefit at work, i got insurance and very good pay.
