The Ghanaian Cab Drivers Association unite to support fallen member and strengthen membership

On Saturday, August 29 the Ghanaian Cab Drivers Association of Chicago met to discuss ways they were going to support the family of a member who passed away, Mr. Emmanuel Akwasi Opoku. After the funeral the Association will have a booth at the South Community Y.W.C.A. at 83rd and Ellis from 10 p.m. until 3 a.m.

Visitors will be able to make contributions for the next of kin at the Ghanaian Cab Drivers Association's booth, and will be able to join or recommit to the Ghanaian Cab Drivers Association.

Mr. Farkye is the recently elected president, filling the seat vacated by Mr. John Henry Assabill who retired as president of the Ghanaian Cab Drivers Association after serving for many years.

The next meeting of the Ghanaian Cab Drivers Association will be on September 26 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at 4750 N. Sheridan Road. Food will be served!
