People assume to much about cabdrivers. Now, I'm starting to think that my previous $8.5/hr was far better than this one. I don't really know how I ended on this one. I can't even go back now. It's kinda magnetic attraction.
First of all.,getting close to the public more often, which automatically creates some kinda of stereotypes; could be negative or positive. Well, I'm an immigrant too. But, I feel, I'm more IMMIGRANT doing this job than the one before. There's a certain stereotype in public that ONLY immigrants drive cabs on the streets of America.
Secondly, as I mentioned before, people assume too much. I don't really know why they are so ignorant. One women passenger who looked mentally psycho, whom I picked somewhere up on clark street said that I don't really have anything to do other than driving a CAB & sleeping! I'm like WTF!!!??? The other lady I picked up from Trump tower asked me whether I've ever been to a GAY BAR or Not?! I could've Fugged that B**ch right away. She looked like a Prositute from Porn movies! U know what I mean. A hi-fi kinda prostitute!! What is all hostility for? The other one was explaining me how to become a lawyer as if I never attended a high school!!
So, analyzing all these stuffs in just 8 months of driving cab on the streets of Chicago, I've decided to leave it by the summer of 2010. Dealing with the public on the street almost everyday has gotten my inner-stability even worse. I'm a kind of quiet & non- attention seeking Guy.
I'd rather finish up my school quickly & be a productive manpower for my country.
