We need permanent fare increase,eliminate the rule to accept credit cards!
Cabbies should demand permanent fare increase to help us with this sky rocketing gas price.
The solution is fare increase, not temporary surcharge as proposed by the stupid Mayor and the evil Commisioner.
Why temporary surcharge when gas price has gone up by 2$ a gallon compared to what it was few years ago?
Why surcharge when this will confuse passengers with surcharge for additional passenger and cause argument and false complaint against drivers?
We should damand the city to stop the rule to require drivers to accept credit cards because for each card fare processing, we lose 5% of our money and sometimes the card receipt gets rejected at computer and thus we lose the whole money.
The city should either compensate us and give us 5% credit money for each credit card processing and city should give us credit money for whole credit card amount if the card get rejected at cashier,
Or the city should put an end to this rule of requiring drivers to accept credit card.
The are two things we should demand from the city during the protest march.
