Extends Technology Footprint in State of Florida
Ottawa, Canada, 8 April 2008 - Mobile Knowledge (“MKC”) is pleased to announce recent contracts with Capitol Transportation of Tallahassee Florida to deliver a communications sub-system based upon the Series 2000 Mobile Data Terminal and Mobile Knowledge Base Signalling technology. Capital Transportation operates a fleet of 80 vehicles, serving the 300,000 residents of the community.
The MKC technology will be deployed in parallel with Capital’s existing call center software which provides standard taxi dispatch facilities, but also has trip manifest capabilities for multiple pick-up/drop-off runs... Working in partnership with the developers of Capital’s software, Mobile Knowledge has implemented manifest capability within the Series 2000 as well, providing real-time tracking and traceability into the progress of vehicles that are engaged in shared-ride trips.
