No lies here

Nothing I said was a lie. I previously detailed the changes that were made as far as the testing of two way radios and the gandalf/credit card unit. I had registered a very valid complaint and detailed why the city inspectors were in error in the way they previously tested this equipment.

I haven't lied to George. In fact when I called him out a week or so ago he took time off. Again, said many times, George knows a hot ptoato when he sees it. He just wants the info to fill his pages. If I were in his shoes I would too. I guess thats really his interest in the CCO and Mike Foulks as well. Think about it. You're being exploited Mike. You and the CCO fill pages for him.

I was fooled to think he was interested in helping. He wrote something to Nathan today about not being in the best interests of the drivers and included himself. Since George did not answer the call I made to help directly he should excuse himself from activism and stick to reporting. Perhaps he's just a driver to help his publication. Kind of a double agent.

"Don't even exaggerrate. In fact, be a little "on the safe side" if you're not sure your claim can be proven, especially if it's a quantity or measurable quality." - Mike Foulks

Does this advice include your claim to be one degree away from the Senator? Our future Prez as you have said.

I will say the comments I am responding to have more quality than usual. Keep up the good work.

I also will state that I am sorry I was dragged down earlier today when I made the psych ward reference. My mistake. Sorry for the bad comments. I SHOULD have resisted.

Re: No lies here

Ahmed R.,

You wrote, "George and Mike think the City always tells the truth."

If that's not a "lie", what would you call it?

Where do you base your claim that I think "the City always tells the truth"?

George writes as many editorials and perspectives as he does "info" pieces, Ahmed R., you said so yourself.

I "fill pages" for the Chicago Dispatcher with CCO stuff? The CCO was only mentioned in the Calendar section last issue.

My "claim" to have a one degree of separation from Barack Obama through a former client of his who is an original CCO member is well-documented with an article in the Sun-Times and the gentleman's CCO registration/ballot.

You wish George Lutfallah would be a cabdriver-organizer activist; then you wish he would stick to reporting. You also say his reporting is biased. I have a hard time following you, Ahmed R..

Ahmed R., for the record, I tend to believe your story about making a change at DCS. Just don't question those who question you...answer their questions as best you can. Some will believe you; some won't.

That's my "activist" advice for you today.

Re: Re: No lies here

Mike, Can't you see the sarcasism here. I did get what I wanted, for you to agree with me about the city acting in their own best interests. As you said, they do not care about us at all.

I wanted George to work with you since he was the only guy I could see that was willing and the fact that he made a good appearance mattered to me. He has since shown that he is for George and the only thing he really is interested in is filling pages with ink. I can't blame him. I'm interested in providing for my family.

The questions are aimed to show that George backs off when it gets too hot. Kind of a test. In my opinion George is like many of us, he's in it for himself. Thats what really really keeps us down as far as the battle with the city goes. We are a divided bunch. The posts with Nathan show he and the others were once willing to work with you. That is not the case presently as shown in the current postings.

Like it or not, your behavior has driven most of the "good guys" away. You are now stuck with the "restaurant guys". These guys will not be able to help you much. Think about backing the Weiss Shen Seven. These guys are the best I've seen for making noise. I am also told they have a few more arrows to fire yet. You fight with Wolfgang and Don Nathan, yet seem to agree with them about the reasons the suit was filed.

I am not a part of this group or the UTCC. I do agree with them though. I have been told the UTCC and the Shen Seven are in agreement about taking action against the city. I saw Wolf Weiss' article in the UTCC newsletter. This tends to make me believe this.

Did you ever post the election results? Do you really feel that you have people that can do anything to help the cause? I would have to believe all the other groups would welcome your help if you would be civilized. Can you be?

Keep reading, Ahmed R.

Ahmed R.,

Sarcasm can be hard to express and detect in print. I take you at your word that you intended sarcasm and you have made your point: yes, both George Lutfallah and I don't necessarily believe everything ANYONE says.

I'm glad you recognize that most people act in their self-interest most of the time.

Which "good guys" have I "driven away" with what "behavior"? I think you will be surprised as I reveal more e-mails which will help you better understand why certain people who you think should "get together" aren't.

I am in favor of repealing the surcharge ordinance and replacing it with a REAL FARE INCREASE. I don't believe that the lawsuit will accomplish this.

Anyways, how should I "back" the lawsuit? I think you need to be more specific and not accept the vagueness of anything.

What "noise"; what "arrows"?

I am not "stuck" with the "restaurant guys". If I were haranguing patrons of the restaurant as my self-interested critics suggest, I would have many more CCO Registered-Members. I deliberately laid-back and only engaged those who showed an interest. There were many who came to Zaiqa who were not regular patrons, if ever. The election site was in the back; many came and left throught the front door. Whether anyone chooses to believe this or not doesn't change the fact.

What do you "agree" with the UTCC about? Who told you that the UTCC and the Nathan lawsuit clients are in "agreement"? What does that mean?

I have yet to post the election results; there are a few write-in candidates who have yet to be contacted...most have and have agreed to meet.

Which groups do you think would "welcome my help if (I) would be "civilized"? I think you would be surprised at how uninformed your opinion is. How and when did I act "uncivilized" towards any group?

Keep reading the e-mails I will continue posting about the relevant parties. I hope your eyes are opened.

Ahmed R ~ one word........................

BUSTED!

Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

Busted? Mike tends to believe me. I am telling the truth. Go to inspection and see for yourself. George is the chest thumper that goes away when the heat gets turned up to high. Can't blame him, he has a business to protect. For the record George is a nice guy in his 30's that is trying hard. He would like us to believe that he is unbiased. Anyone having common sense knows otherwise.

Perhaps you can help Mike. His second in command might be a guy named Tahir. Mike needs to find out if he wants the job. Contact Mike and lend a hand. Just be civilized. I'm willing to see if I can mend fences for Mike if he wants me to. The few I talked to at the airport today are pretty much scared away from him though. Mike has his moments. Wish he could be a team player.

Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

Ahmed R.,

Who exactly did I "scare away" that you talked to at the airport?

And by the way, the airport staging areas can be the most seductive, yet absolute worst place to "organize" cabdrivers. Many of them simply want to stroll around and complain and won't ever do anything except that...keep going back to the airport to stroll around and complain.

Also, there's no "second-in-command" named Tahir. The CCO Vice President simply serves as the Chairperson at meetings when the President is absent.

Nobody "commands" anybody else. It is a subtle, but important concept to understand if you are to have any success.

Team player? How haven't I been? Where do you get this crap from?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

Hello Mike. I came to the USA as a baby. I lived in New York as a child before I came here. I am "Americanized" Slang is something I've picked up as does just about every child. Second in command is a slang term to describe a Vice President. This is known to at least 95% of all adults that were raised here. When someone would ask who is the second in command after Geroge Bush what do you think the answer will be? Let's get along here. You were the one that mentioned Tahir and said that he might be a vice president for you. You also said you did not know if he wanted to participate or not.

I do not see how the restaurant is a better place to organize. Other than "tastes good" food it doesn't seem better to me.

Commands is just slang. George Bush is Commander in Chief. Does he command Mike foulks?

A team player doesn't fight with at least half of the other guys trying to organize. UTCC,AFSC, NATHAN at law, etc. You do good, then blacken someones eye. Again, slang from me. Don't fight back. Consider helping your other drivers, me included. My old mans advice for Mike Foulks today.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

Ahmed R.,

"Command" isn't slang. The Commander-in-Chief IS a COMMANDER.

Nobody in CCO commands anybody else. It is a deliberative, democratic body, should it ever awaken.

Zaiqa is better than the staging areas because it is open 24 hours a day and it is centrally located.

Having people "vote" at either airport is problematic because airports are government property and scribbling something on a piece of paper while stuck at the airport really isn't a good indicator of "activating" a cabdriver or any kind of meaningful, reliable support.

I don't blacken anyone's eye who doesn't deserve it. Prateek Sampat, Peter Enger, Yi Tang, Donald Nathan, and half of Wolf Weiss and his alter-egomaniacs are WORTHLESS to Chicago cabdrivers, and sometimes even HARMFUL.

Don't drink anyone's Kool-Aid, Ahmed R.. I'm not asking you to drink Kool-Aid. I'm asking you to keep an open mind and to think critically using facts, not just to accept my opinions or claims.

I always welcome your advice Ahmed R.. I have helped several others drivers, just in the last 48 hours. Maybe I've helped you too.

What exactly are "half the other guys" trying to "organize"?

Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

By the way who voted you the fourth best? If you truly are, please go to the DCS and inform them. Perhaps you can be the one to set them straight! I'm tired of working for free like I did today.

Re: Ahmed R's claim

Hello again George, Why do I keep thinking of Jason Alexander? I am heterosexual and cannot rank men, but I will admit you are not someone I would have caution of introducing to my wifes sister. You are a normal person. Not really like him(George Costanza). However, I'll bet I'm not the first one to mention the Seinfeld character to you.

I took a friends taxi to inspection today. The inspector checked the two way radio and card swipe without my interaction. He explained to me he is under orders to check himself without drivers help. I was also put into the back seat when the brakes were checked. The changes were made due to my interaction with the commisioner. Did you ever take a taxi through the lane yourself? Did they make you stand next to the taxi with the rear wheels turning at 40mph while the guy was inside the cab with the "controller"(this maching was finally discontinued) If I ever called OSHA on the city there would be trouble. Having a guy in the car while it was being jacked up on the hoist isn't a good idea. Its even worse to make a guy stand next to a wheel turning at 40 or so mph. What if the taxi slid off of the rollers? What if the axel slid out? Why not call Jeffrey Brown and ask him if it has happened before. You have NEVER interviewed him or Randy Buffington to my knowledge.

There was a hearing today at 400 W. Superior. Stuart Alpern LOST a brake citation case. The inspector admitted the NEW BRAKE MACHINE ISN'T ALWAYS ACCURATE UNDER OATH. Wouldn't this be a good case to report in "The Dispatcher" ? Lets face it, its too hot to handle. The city has wasted at least 50k on this piece of junk from Hunter Company. I am an activist when it comes to the injustice done at 2420 W. Pershing. I am calling you out to help us. Better put on your flame proof suit first though. I expect you to do nothing. Who wants a target to be painted on their forehead? Not me. You are the one that claims not to be afraid. Lets see.

Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

Ahmed R,

I have found no basis to substantiate your claim that your complaint changed inspection procedures.

I'd love to believe your claim but unfortunately you haven't provided enough to go on yet and the evidence I have found suggests otherwise.

According to my sources, the procedural changes that were made at the inspection station were a result of the new brake testing machine and had nothing to do with a driver complaint.

First you said you spoke with the commissioner. When I informed you that the commissioner didn't back up your claim, you implied that I was lied to and then you contradictorily implied you spoke with another commissioner. Which commissioner was it? I'll be happy to call him or her to verify.

The way things appear, you're trying to take credit for something you had nothing to do with. The burden is on you to prove otherwise. If you have info to share, you can call or write. I've already provided you with my contact information, but you haven't contacted me. Therefore, when you claim that things are "too hot to handle" I'm embarrassed for you.

I certainly hope that's not the case though. It would be upsetting to me to learn that in 26 years of cab driving, all you can claim is something you can't back up.

ahmed,

we in the UTCC would love to hear about your ideas and testimony. we have a law and safety subcommittee that is designed to be dealing with just the issues you describe. we don't automatically believe anything the city officials say to us. some people seem to believe the city officials would never lie to them. on the other hand we feel it is their default position to subvert the truth, unless challenged and caught out on it. what we need in the town is some competent investigative journalism, to investigate the many corrupt practices the city officials engage in to exploit us.

please contact us and come to our next law and safety subcommittee meeting. i think you'd find it interesting and worth your while. you have our number. mine is 773 550 7921

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

Hello Peter Enger. Have you ever taken a taxi to the inspection facility? I think we should call osha. Perhaps at the safety meeting all can discuss being subjected to dangerous situations at the inspection lane. Perhpas Jeffrey Brown and Randy Buffington can learn what real safety issues are. Perhaps when the OSHA people write a 5000.00 citation to them for putting someones life at risk will they learn something.

I once was cited for the removal of an ac hose from vent to partition in April. It wasn't even necessary in the spring and was in my way. 125.00 with costs out of pocket. I was' told it is serious by the 39th street mob. No, what's really serious is being told to stand next to a car swaying on rollers with its wheels spinning at 40mph or being in the vehicle on the hoist when the front of the car is jacked up to almost touching the roof. What if my taxi rolled off of the hoist? When is the safety meeting?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

peter you are not fooling anybody. if you were any kind of journalist you would hold him to the very questions mr. george asked him. don't pretend you don't already know who Ahmed R is. he is the one who si controlling you. steve already knows that.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

Well Khan, I think you can see that quite some time has gone by and George hasn't responded. When I responded and told him how it really is, George just went back into hiding. Just a repeat of what he did before. George just spouts off to make himself look good. When he gets challenged by me and is afraid of looking bad and just goes away for awhile.

While I have been invited to participate a UTCC meeting, I am not a member and have not attended any of the meetings. I do not control them. I would not recognize half of them even if they were next to me. I do admit knowing Enger, but anyone that really knows him already knows he marches to the beat of his own drummer. Certainly not me.

Has George been treating the UTCC very badly as of late? The Midway newspaper rack issue comes to mind. What are you afraid of George? Does the upstart have you nervous? You response to them would be enough to convict you of this at 400 W. Superior!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

"what we need in the town is some competent investigative journalism"

how competent of an investigative journalist are you when ahmed r has already said he sent an email to your parter steve at utcc? khan is right. you already know who ahmed r is. how can anybody respect you as a journalist when you are lying to all of us through your teeth? this is a conspiracy to make people think that ahmed r has valuable information and will deem you to be more trustworthy with it to give you fake credibility when all along he is one of you. everyone can see that. i said it before and ill say it again. you are full of s h i t.

you should have stayed with melissa. f'ing sellout.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

I am not yet a member of the UTCC. I am a concerned owner operator. I am blowing the whistle on the ways we are exploited. Would any whistle blower with something to valuable to lose stand in the road with a target on his forehead? My brain is in my head, not my rear.

I have corresponded with Steve Kim. Big deal. I told him to make Prateek focus on the city. To focus on the 2617 South mob would be a mistake. They do not set the rates of fare to my knowledge. Besides, riders are getting smarter and sometimes pass a maroon cab to ride with me. I still deal with jerks though. I guess we all do from time to time.

Prateek deals mostly with factories and other business that take advantage of employees. We do not have that problem here. The city sets our pay. We need a raise! Quit picking on Enger and throw your arrows at city hall or better yet at Tom Allens office!

Peter Enger, I suggest you focus

Mr. Enger,

I was re-reading this post of yours and it struck me to do some editing to express a thought I can't quite put into words:

This way is better, I think:

"ahmed,

Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

George, Look at the posts I made in the last few weeks when you stopped responding. You thumped your chest and said nothing could stop you or close you down. When I mentioned the ways it could happen and insinuated who I believe is giving you pressure, you took 10 days or so off. Now you come back with this. If I'm not credible check out my earlier post from tonight and tell me what isn't right on.

You refused/ignored my question about Seinfled. It's Ok, it was just a nice joke anyway. Not some kind of thrashing or bashing that sometimes goes on here. I have a good impresson of you. Just quit trying to act immortal when you have the same and what I suspect is even more pressure on your shoulders from the city and your business associates. I will detail some if you force me to.

I did notice that you gave very little space to the Weiss Shen Seven and no mention of the CCO election. There was actually very little content compared to your other issues of 2008. I did like your coverage of the Union Station accident. But you did leave me wondering how the driver got injured? I would have to give you an incomplete on this one. Whats the difference between weak weekly and good monthly? Again, please don't take this as an insult, rather an independent review. I'm not a spear chuckeror machine gunner, just a guy giving you my two cents. Can you be nice? I'm embarrased for you sir.

The new brake machine is a joke. The changes made to credit card and radio testing have noting to do with this piece of dog doo the city bought from Hunter company. Ask your close associates what they think about the machine. You might be surprised to find out I'm on the mark.

One last thing, you and Mike Foulks are not veterans. You might want to sell yourself as one, but really aren't. Mike isn't either. Quit claiming to be the tough guy. Take it from me, it takes years and years of hard knocks to gain certain kinds of knowledge. You haven't been knocked around enough yet. I hope I can throw this in your face in 2028. You will agree with me then!

By the way George, would you sell your newspaper to me for 135k? I have an offer for my medallion. I also bought and fully own a home for my family to live in. I have one entering college. Where's your wife and kids? Forget the money, I think you might be a loner. I can claim success in the wallet and something else that no money can replace, I have a family. If you can dish it, you can take it too. Here are your words sir,

My friend, you rent your office and taxi. You do not have any offspring that call you Daddy to my knowledge. This does not make you a loser. However, you better look in the mirror before you make more comments like the ones above. Will it take you another 20 years to learn? I hope not. We need you to get better to help us all! And no, I'm not going to pat myself on the back and say this is my activist advice for the day. All that read this please remember, I am not cutting George up, just giving him my honest opinion. I really do hope he can improve from his recent comments and issue. He has done better work in the past, and I hope, in the future as well!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

A notice to all. This was not responded to. Again, the chest was thumped almost a week ago and then he went back and hid. The dates do not lie. Perhaps there wasn't a response since the posting I made June 5th. was 100% the truth.

Keep on trying man. Just don't forget what is really important in life. -Ahmed to George.

"I'm embarrased for you sir."- George Lutfallah.

Don't be George. I think I might be a little better off than you my friend.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Ahmed R's claim

Again, I might be beating a dead horse here, but you do see the results. I am going to let this die now. Before I do please notice that the respondent, George Lutfallah didn't respond. It's hard to dispute the truth.

"I'm embarrased for you sir."- George Lutfallah.

Don't be George. I think I might be a little better off than you my friend. Ahmed R.

I have re-posted what George said June 5th. Again he didn't or more likely wasn't able to back this up.

Here is what I said in reply to George on June 5th. He isn't able to reply since this took the wind out of his sails. This will make an end to this unless I finally hear from George. Again, my comments of June 5th have been proven to be true by the lack of response.

"It would be upsetting to me to learn that in 26 years of cab driving, all you can claim is something you can't back up."
