Re: Re: Re: CRIMINAL Standards for Vehicle Inspectors

I know of a case where the driver passed every point of the inspection, including the old brake testing equipment.

When they couldn't find anything wrong, the little fat geasy guy who used to write up the tickets opened the passenger side front door of the cab and started shaking it up and down violently.

Then he did it to the driver side front door and cited the owner for having an unsafe vehicle, because of loose or misaligned doors and unsafe hinges.

There was nothing wrong with the doors before, they shut like a show-room fresh Ford. They were never right afterwards.

The *******s damaged the car so they could fail him and charge him for two unsafe vehicle tickets.

The guy spent the next two days looking for replacement hinges and a shop that would re-install the damaged doors.

He sold out soon after. Before he was the happiest man in Chicago.

He had won the medallion in the old lottery.

It was the American Dream come true, then the Chicago Inspection Nightmare woke him up to reality.

Inspection Standards for Vehicle Interior Cleanliness

Effective Tuesday, July 1, 2008, vehicle inspections at 39th Street Taxicab Inspection Facility will include a detailed inspection of the interior.

The passenger compartment of each vehicle must:

o Be free of dirt, grease, smear, or scuff marks on the seats, floor, doors, or back of the front seat or safety partition.

o Have no rips or tears on the seats, doors, or covering of the safety partition. Covering on the safety partition must not have raw edges exposed that show unraveling or fraying threads.

o Have a clean and clear top portion of the safety shield partition so that the meter display costs are visible to the passenger.

Between July 1 to July 14, vehicles not meeting the above cleanliness standard will be failed, and required to return for reinspection. However, if the vehicle does not fail for any other items, the $50 re-inspection fee will be waived. Beginning July 15, the $50 re-inspection fee will apply.

If you have any questions, contact the Public Vehicle Division at 312-746-4300.

they need to be put in jail. all of them

All, those Vechicle Inspectors need to be fired. I hate that place. Daley, And, Norma. Belong in jail. The way they are robbing us from stupid fines, having us take stupid tap vouchers, and having us take stupid credit cards. That is all against the law. On, what they are doing. Of, course you the judge and city lawyer are crooks as well. We can win. The only we would win if daley and norma drop dead.
