My TCV8 has the battery in the passenger footwell, no good for passengers with normal length legs.
I would like to mount it somewhere else, my first thought is the engine bay in place of the heater, which I don't/can't use.
I didn't build the car and don't have the build manual, so have no idea as to what is possible.
Where is yours?

It was in the rear but I have moved it to the bulkhead. The problem of the heater was resolved by mounting the heater the other way round on the inside.
The best solution for my 1800 aplication was to drill new holes and feed the matrix tails and also the air feed through the bulkhead with the motor above the passengers knees. The heater has proven much more efficient since, forcing warm air into the car rather than circulating red hot air under the dash. I could give you a better explanaition over the phone!

My Ascot and my TD batteries are behind the seats ( boot)
