The mesh grill has started to rust on my TF, so I was going to remove it to paint it, or replace it in stainless steel. I removed the 4 bolted connections to the surround, but it's too big to slide up through the surround at the top and the gap is too small below. Has anyone done this before? Do you have to remove the surround completely?

I think you should be able to get it out diagonally.
I can supply a stainless grill if you need one
