The fuel pick up seems to be a bit high on NiGella's tank, she runs out of gas after about 3 gallons, which seems to leave about the same amount (if not more) in the tank
Is it complicated to lower the pick up point?

The pick up does sound a bit high - is the pick up pipe mounted in a removable cover? if so its easy to sort out as long as you can get to it.

sorry for the delay, been sorting out other things on NiGella.
The fuel pipe is connected to a fixed Brass fitting that is towards the bottom of the tank, it doesnt have a removable cover.
I'm guessing I need to drain the tank remove the brass outlet fitting and see what's inside the tank and re-position?

Yes it sounds like you have to take a closer look and see what is going on. The other option is to make and fit a new pick up and blank the old one off, just boils down to which is easiest.
