Re: TF seat modification and rear light pods.

Hi Peter,

A couple of thoughts re-upgrade, my TA has some steel strips attached to chassis and inside the body work to raise the seat belt clip to about seat top height so belt is easier to attach to the lower position. The seats are early MGB though not the more usual "Richfield" after market seat and might have lower backs than yours.

Regarding the Light pods you could do worse than have a look at the CBS (Car Builder Solutions) website, you might be able to get a hard copy Catalogue sent to you, though I think there is AN ON-LINE ONE AS WELL.

Regards Rob G.

Re: TF seat modification and rear light pods.

Hi Peter,

On the TF that I am building I have constructed towers that bolt to the chassis that deliver the seat belts just above body height just behind the seats.

For the rear light pods I have got some 3" diameter stainless Exhaust finishers That I will modify to suit.

I am going out in a minute but when I have time I will send you some photos.

Regards

Paul

Re: TF seat modification and rear light pods.

Thanks for the ideas, chaps. I have just returned from the Exeter Kit car show with new rear lights and ideas for mounting them. Apparently, the Morgan light plinths are only £10 - £12 and should do then job with little modification. (Lights and info from Stafford vehicle components stall.)
I will have a go at the seats mods myself - how hard can it be??!!

Will do a piece for the mag about the show. Saw 2 more NGs there. Nice to know I'm not alone in the far reaches of Devon!

Regards, Peter.

Re: Exeter Show

Hi Peter
Glad you did the Exeter Show and found it useful
Also glad that you were not a 'Billy NG No-Mates' !!
A piece for the magazine will be much appreciated - thank you
