V8 Fuel line internal diameter?

Looking for some advice from other V8 owners...

After finishing one project, I fired up the car after a year of non use only to find the main fuel line from pump to pressure regulator had perished and split!

So I need to replace the main fuel line. Should I replace it like for like? I'm not sure the 6mm ss overbraided pipe is correct though. Fittings on the pump and regulator are 8mm and the original pipe wall seems mighty thin.

What is the correct internal diameter pipe for a carb setup? 8mm?

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

Re: V8 Fuel line internal diameter?

don't know about carbs - but Rover Vitesse V8 EFi is 8mm fuel pipe - as they are supposed to be 200bhp - use that as a guide to what you need

Re: V8 Fuel line internal diameter?

Thanks Malc,

I've also heard from another carbed V8 TC owner who has 8mm copper pipe. It seems a complete refresh in 8mm is the way to go :-)

cheers
