Yes the usual crowd will be there no doubt. However, there have been 23 views of this post and you are the only one to add to it..... Not sure how to get people interested in the forum and club activities....??? If people have got to the forum then it is not a huge step into the unknown to post something, or is it???

It is always difficult Paul, I personally don't find the forum as easy to use as others I dip in an out of, or as easy as facebook.

The facebook group is quite active with loads of pictures and general NG stuff and interesting drives and things like that. There are 33 members now, some visit more often than others. There is normally at least one post per day. Last night was very busy with several members chatting back and fore.

Of those 33 members only 4 have indicated attendance at the National Rally but all clearly are actively using their cars.

I think we just need to keep trying on all fronts, face to face meetings, the web site, the forum and facebook. This way we can reach as many NG owners as possible and that has to be a good thing doesn't it?

In this high tech world there are many options to communicate through. I agree totally with you that we want to reach as many owners as possible and get the club activities more widely attended. My only concern is that as we are a small club, the more communications channels we use the greater the opportunity to loose the message. Perhaps we can talk through the communications issues at the rally?

I just wrote about two thousand words in reply to this thread but have decided that a more succinct response was in order. So, from what I've seen in the mag' the National Rally just doesn't appeal. It would seem to appeal to those who enjoy it and return year after year so is simply a case of "one man's pleasure" etc.
Possibly, if the option were there, I might pop in for a couple of hours just to say "Hi" but would have no intention of attending for the weekend.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to reply. If the rally as advertised is not your thing that's fine. Is there anything in particular you don't like about the rally? It would be good to get differing views as these are equally valid.

Attending for the whole weekend is not compulsory, If you only attend on one day that is fine also(Generally Sunday is when most cars attend). The trip up from Wiltshire would be quite a pleasant outing.

Would you be more interested in a more informal meeting? There is a regular Kitcar pub meet held on the 2nd Thursday of every month 7:30pm onwards at:
