This is not the first incidence of a dealer posing as a ordinary guy buying I have heard about. Seems like a bit of the old Arthur Daley action going on in the NG(kitcar) world.....

As long as you get the true value of the car that you want and are not beaten down to accept a much lower bargain basement price, no real harm done. However, on the sentimental side it is nicer to sell your pride and joy to a fellow enthusiast. A few pertinent questions starting with, are you a club member, what do you like about NG's and why do you want to buy an NG?, could be a lead in to establish credentials.

As the seller you always have the choice to say no......Talk to other members of the club to establish a realistic value of your car before being bullied into selling by an undercover dealer.....
