Exhaust TF

I have, what appears from the build manual, the preferred exhaust system. A cherry bomb centre box and an oval twin pipe back box, all in stainless. I must be getting old as on a long journey the noise gets rather tiring, so I wanted to quieten the system down.

The cherry bomb unit is only 65mm diameter and has a couple of dents in it from grounding, so the practicality of changing that to a more traditional mid box silencer - usually 100mm diameter - seems impractical, it would get more damage. I haven't yet resourced a muffled cherry bomb of 45mm bore, they all seem bigger. Has anyone changed the back box to quieten it down. Or used an insert muffler as used on motorbikes.

Interested in any suggestions, or shall I just use ear plugs!

Thanks Dave
